Greetings Readers!
Here's another post in the Thing To Do in Tallahassee Series: The Tallahassee Downtown Market. Starting in March and continuing through November, Tallahassee hosts an open air market in the center of town every Saturday. Centered around Park Street and spreading outward in both directions, the market includes all manner of crafts and goods, vendor food of all types, and of course various sorts of local entertainment. This past weekend when the J-N-T team went there happened to be a Tallahassee parade that same day. We got the double pleasure of the market with all of the floats and characters that were present during the parade as well. And the food was DELICIOUS! Gyros, blooming onions, corn dogs, funnel cakes, everything you'd expect for a outdoor festival plus a lot more. There were live performances by a Christian A Capella group and local bands on stage. They even had activities for the kids, from real horse-back riding to face painting. So whether you're looking for fresh produce, live entertainment, soy candles or just a good time hanging out, check out the Downtown Saturday Market.

Wow I don't think Tallahassee had that market when I went to FAMU! That is pretty awesome. Did you buy anything cool there?
ReplyDeleteWow fellow Rattler its great to see you! But yeah actually I am a candle fiend so I bought at least two or three soy candles and Omi bought some scarfs and such. It really is a great continuous event but I'm not sure when they actually started it
